I am Professor of Philosophy in the philosophy department at New York University. My areas of interest include Kant, early modern philosophy (especially Leibniz), 19th and early 20th century German philosophy, aesthetics, animal ethics, and history of philosophy of science. Before joining my colleagues at NYU, I taught at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Notre Dame.

 

I am also Co-Editor of Archiv für Geschichte der Philosophie and Co-Director of SWIP-NYC (the local chapter of the Society for Women in Philosophy).
